Join us as we celebrate the NEXT Los Angeles filmmaking community with the third of our Film Showcases! We’ve given you Love in Hollywood, Fiction in Santa Monica, and now, we’re convening in the valley at the Laemmle Town Center 5 for a night of short nostalgic documentaries!

Our featured films include Speedy Delivery, by Birthright Israel NEXT LA Fellow and alum Paul Germain, winner at many festivals including the Feel Good Film Festival, which chronicles David Newell (AKA Mr. McFeely) as he traverses the globe spreading the Mr. Rogers legacy. We will also be hosting the world premier of Robbery of the Heart by alum Micah Brandt, about a Kristallnacht refugee’s return to his native town of Wetter, Germany. The films will be paired with the classic Jewish film, Gefilte Fish, about three generations of women in a family making the titular dish.
